Therm-a-Rest Parsec 20 Degree

The Parsec may not be the cheapest offering in this year’s gear guide, but the combination of ultra-lightweight packability and the performance it achieves merits the extra dollars. The recycled nylon ripstop shell and hydrophobic 900-fill down insulation are top-notch, and every design detail is completely dialed. The insulation is strategically zoned to place it where you need the warmth and save bulk and weight where you don’t. The footbox is already contoured and insulated to maximize thermal efficiency but there’s also an integrated pocket for placing a warmer (not included) to keep toes and feet cozy as can be. And an internal security pocket is actually sized right for stashing and securing a phone which we haven’t found to be the case on every bag that we’ve tested. So, go ahead and splurge!
