Sea to Summit Escapist Evo Tarp

This Ultra-Sil nylon and polyester ripstop tarp is the perfect shelter for backpackers or thru-hikers seeking shelter but wanting to add as few ounces as possible to their set-up and take up as little room as can be in their pack. The ultralightweight fabric does a great job of protecting against inclement weather and it pitches tautly and remains stable even in windy conditions with guylines and adjustable cord tensioners. It’s designed to be pitched with two trekking poles, but you could use paddles if you’re on a rafting trip and there is a central hang loop that could allow you to utilize overhead branches instead. The tarp comes in two different sizes, and it can also be used as part of a more robust modular set-up if you purchase separately the Escapist Mesh Bug Shelter and/or the Escapist Groundsheet.
