Outdoor Research Optimist & Astroman

We’ve been huge fans of the Outdoor Research Astroman S/S Sun Shirt for years and have worn it for everything from hiking and climbing, to trail running, and even to business casual meetings. The sun-protective, breathable, moisture-wicking short-sleeve shirt really is that versatile and, honestly, we also just really like the way the snap-front closure, collared shirt looks and feels. This year after frequent requests (and borderline begging), we’re psyched to see the introduction of a women’s specific version, the Optimist. Crack open any of our Gear Specialists’ closets and you’re likely to find at least one of these on a hanger!
