Outdoor Research Echo Hoodie

It’s hard to describe the Echo Hoodie without letting you touch it, but trust us when we say that the super-thin fabric has an almost-not-there-at-all quality that explains why it weighs next to nothing. That construction would suggest it’s best used solely in the warmest of weather, but that take undersells its extreme versatility. Yes, it is an incredible summer outer layer with UPF-protection, built-in odor control, and the ability to effectively vent excess heat, but the low-profile design also makes this piece a great silkweight baselayer that our Gear Specialists use as a next-to-skin piece for layering all year round. Toss in the close-fitting hood and integrated thumbholes and this really becomes an essential for any activity any time of the year. To say we love it is a gross understatement.
