Some of the ultra-lightweight rainwear we’ve seen over the years has left us with concerns regarding durability or disappointed to find an absence of features. That’s not the case with the Superalloy Bio Rain Jacket. It weighs less than half a pound and packs down ridiculously small and its ripstop bio-based nylon yarn steers clear of some of the harsher fabrics often found on rain jackets and it uses a PFC-free water-repellent treatment. We love the jacket’s environmentally conscious stance, but we still need to know that we’re going to stay dry. This jacket passes the test with flying colors and, despite its feathery weight, it still incorporates an adjustable hood, an adjustable hem, and the ability to stow inside its own storage pocket.
