But while a fleece is often the go-to for warmth and comfort, staying dry usually requires an additional layer or an entirely different piece of apparel. The Pisgah Fleece Jacket does you one better by providing far greater weather-resistance than any other fleece we have seen. It doesn’t have taped seams, so cannot be considered truly waterproof, but an integrated PFC-free durable water resistant treatment allows it to shrug off light precipitation with rain beading up on its surface instead of wetting out. This makes it a great outerwear piece for hiking or paddling in moderate temperatures and, like other fleeces, it makes for a great layering piece for just about any activity and in all 4 seasons.
