Weight doesn’t matter to everyone, but it sure does to performance-driven trail runners and count-every-ounce thru-hikers. There are stripped down trekking poles out there that focus solely on driving weight to its absolute minimum but beware the decreased durability and dearth of features that often come with that focus. MCT Superlite carbon fiber trekking poles weigh an average of 11.4 ounces per pair (depending on chosen length), so they have weight dialed but that weight wasn’t achieved by compromising on features. Their cork grips and integrated trigger straps and the efficient performance they deliver shames most ultra-lightweight poles. The fixed-length, non-adjustable design saves on weight, but MCT Superlite poles do still collapse so they can be attached to your pack when not in use or stow safely luggage if you are traveling with them.
Best Use: Backpacking, Hiking, and Running/Fitness
