Exped Versaluxe

The shape-shifting Versaluxe offers modularity for both backpacking and camping. The interior core of the mattress is a truly minimalist TPU inflatable pad that is incredibly lightweight and compresses to an extremely compact packed size. It’s not insulated so it’s best used for warm-weather backpacking but that’s not all the Versaluxe is capable of. It comes with a soft, padded, and machine-washable topper that increases warmth and comfort, making the mat a much plusher offering when weight and packed size don’t matter. It’s one of the few pads we’ve seen that is truly modular and suitable for varied use. It’s also extra long and wide compared to most other backpacking pads so you can enjoy a much broader sleeping surface with or without the topper.
