The term “travel duffel” is way too limiting for something like the Radical. It really blurs the line between a pack and a duffel and comes in just as handy at the gym or on your commute as it does at the airport or the hotel. Its padded and highly water-resistant construction allows it to take quite the beating but it isn’t so overbuilt that it can’t transition for more pedestrian use…which means, you end up using it far more often than a duffel that you only grab ahead of the infrequent vacation. Integrated shoulder straps with an adjustable sternum strap do allow it to actually be carried comfortably as a backpack, a claim that many hybrid duffels make but don’t always deliver on.
