Big Agnes String Ridge VST 2.5

It took a second to wrap our heads around the String Ridge but once we did, we were super impressed. It uses some truly unique architecture and design features to create a hybrid single/double wall tent that is super lightweight and packable but considerably more stable than its other trekking pole-pitched peers. The shelter’s innovative HyperBead fabric offers excellent weather protection and durability with very minimal weight and super breathable mesh tent walls are stitched directly beneath it making the shelter far more breathable than we would ever expect from a traditional double wall tent. The “.5” in the naming also calls out the fact that there’s extra room to sprawl so you can easily fit two 25” wide sleeping pads with protected external storage or even room for a 4-legged tagalong!
