Altra Running Timp 6

The Timp 6 is one of our favorite tools for running ultras or putting in long hours on the trail training for them. With its combination of responsive dual-density foam cushioning and a Vibram MegaGrip outsole that could care less about the weather or the terrain and keeps you upright regardless, the Timp is definitely built for high-mileage. Like most Altra shoes, it has a neutral zero-drop platform, meaning that the elevation of the heel and the forefoot are identical, the idea being that your foot is already perfectly designed for running and doesn’t need any artificial stacking. The other signature Altra feature is the large, roomy toe box that really pays dividends after hours on-the-go when feet tend to swell.
