Adidas Outdoor Terrex AX4 Mid GTX

The price tag of the mid-height Terrex AX4 Mid GTX boot will make you do a double-take, a good one, at least after you realize how much premium performance you get for the cost. As you’d expect from Adidas, the boot has an athletic aesthetic and a running shoe-inspired dual-density EVA midsole, but the waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX lining and durable, grippy Continental rubber outsole are all about off-roading. A synthetic upper helps to keep the price well below that of a leather boot, but that doesn’t mean it skimps on abrasion-resistance and it breathes really well which is an extra bonus for warm-weather hiking or backpacking.
