Hard to find a more reliable name for hiking or backpacking boots than LOWA and the last couple of years they’ve poured a lot of their expertise and attention to carving out a similar trustworthiness in running shoes. Their latest offering, the Skyterra, is equipped with deep padding and a roomy, forgiving fit with a focus for endurance athletes running long distances and logging high mileage in training. The plush midsole rides atop a premium all-terrain Vibram outsole. The shoe has a moderate 6mm drop that hits a sweet spot for a broad range of runners.
