That’s when you’ll find us reaching for the carbon-fiber Ultratrail FX.One poles which weigh in at roughly 12 ounces per pair and fold up small enough for easy attachment to any running pack. That foldable design also allows them to be quickly deployed when you need them back in play for ascents or descents. The integrated trigger straps make for a comfortable, secure connection and add an amazing amount of efficiency when poling. A lot of running poles have really minimalist grips but Ultratrail FX.Ones have ergonomic textured grips that are far more substantial than much of what you’ll find out there. Do note that these are fixed length poles, meaning that they aren’t height-adjustable, but they are available in numerous lengths at 5cm increments between 110cm to 135cm.
