Wait, what? Why would you mess with one of the most beloved, best-selling boots of all time? Thankfully “mess with” is the wrong way of looking at the update to the classic Renegade as LOWA pretty much kept the reliable fit of the boot untouched. What they did do was reduce the number of seams in the upper for improved comfort and the elimination of possible wear points. The midsole got a comfort upgrade with layered PU construction that places soft shock-absorbing foam atop a denser, more supportive base. Throw in the slightest of cosmetic changes and, otherwise, the Renegade remains the same dependable, waterproof, trail-tested companion that so many hikers and backpackers have known and loved.
